Elizabeth Mares

Elizabeth Mares knows the power of college access programs firsthand. She grew up in Los Angeles participating in the Fulfillment Fund’s mentor, scholarship, and internship programs. While pursuing an undergraduate degree, Elizabeth began working for the organization as an intern for the Data and Evaluation department. Thereafter, she joined the Development team and learned about fundraising through individual giving, donor cultivation, and board management.

When the opportunity arose, Elizabeth moved to Las Vegas to continue the Fulfillment Fund’s legacy. Since then, she’s held various roles leading programs and strategic efforts, shaping how the Fulfillment Fund Las Vegas model works. In her current role as Director of Operations, Elizabeth focuses on ensuring organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Elizabeth holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Mount St. Mary’s University, Los Angeles, and a master’s in public administration, with a concentration in nonprofit management, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).

Elizabeth’s experience in the public sector includes time as a Program and Event Coordinator at the UNLV William F. Harrah College of Hospitality where she facilitated the development of an online executive certificate program for a national sports organization. In addition, she has served as a Program Officer for the Nevada State Treasurer’s Office, overseeing a statewide scholarship with an annual budget of approximately $40 million.
