Brenda Romero, College Counselor

Brenda joined Fulfillment Fund Las Vegas in November 2018 as a College Access Advisor and in August 2021 transitioned to a College Counselor. In her role as a College Counselor, Brenda is dedicated to providing academic and personal support to help students graduate and encourage them to pursue their goals.

As a first-generation and former undocumented student, Brenda understands the challenges that students face in accessing higher education and hopes to use her experiences to create opportunities for all students. She is a strong advocate and has valuable information for DACA and Undocumented Students, having worked closely with community members and school administrators at her previous institutions to find resources for this population of students.

Brenda is a proud graduate from the College of Southern Nevada and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she received her bachelor’s in Human Services with a minor in Marriage and Family Studies. In her free time, she loves hiking and exploring Nevada with her family.

One of my favorite memories from college was interning with Congress through the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. I got to spend the summer in D.C. learning about the ins and outs of Congress as well as exploring the nation’s capital.
